Comparative study of successful urban agricultural policies in Europe to be applied in Isfahan

the increasing population and their concentration in cities ,These population units are facing various problems and issues .That solution is to pay attention to sustainable development.the aim of this research is to to discuss successful urban agriculture development policies, in order to execute them in Isfahan city and to increase sustainable development .The methodology applies an adaptive strategy,and practices a mixed approach in order to gather the required data and information.Also, documentary analysis, and library & field research has been applied.First, a systematic review of resources has been done and by studying and assessing the successful experiences of urban agriculture development in Europe, and through utilizing the comparative review method and content analysis, the operating model of the research has been presented.The outcome of this stage was the extraction of the components and policies of urban agricultural development in various aspects in accordance with the main research objective.Subsequently, by organizing a questionnaire and completing it by 33 urban experts who have been identified using the snowball method, attempts were made to apply and experimentally execute the operating research model in the city of Isfahan, in order to evaluate this urban area in terms of urban agricultural development, and to determine the practical and executive policies in this city.The results of the study show that By means of implementing policies such as establishing a responsible institution, creating local groups, starting online stores, preventing the expansion of the city onto agricultural lands, Creating weekly markets, using incentive schemes, coupled with making optimum use of various spaces such as parks, sites adjacent to the Zayandeh Rud river, agricultural lands near the Marchin neighborhood, can be considered as a major step towards the development of urban agriculture and the use of the positive & constructive economic, social, cultural, and environmental factors in Isfahan city.
