Abstract

Neighborhoods represent urban identity, culture, historical value and also symbolize the status of Iranian urban planning and life. In this study, due to the lack of attention to the neighborhood of Imamzadeh Ghasem, which has a historical identity, ancient texture and the existence of a valuable building of Imamzadeh Ghasem as the main problem of the research, we tried to find a suitable solution to identify and evaluate the components of sense of place using AHP method and studies. Let's be on the field. Imamzadeh Ghasem neighborhood of Tehran, which due to factors such as informal residence, low physical quality, burnout and lack of coordination between the new builder and the traditional texture of the neighborhood has reduced the sense of belonging of the residents.
In this article, it is applied and using the hierarchical analysis method, the criteria for creating a sense of belonging to the place are identified and the following criteria are identified and weighted through interviews with experts.
Among the perceptual-cognitive, social and physical criteria, the following criteria are defined, which include territory, legibility, sense of belonging, presence, safety, economics, appearance, communication network and performance, which are the weight of physical-spatial, cognitive and social criteria, respectively. It had a higher weight.
Considering the valuable historical context and the existence of Imamzadeh Ghasem building in the area, in the present study, we try to provide spaces for civic and social participation to better design the spaces in Imamzadeh Ghasem neighborhood. In addition, in order to increase people's sense of belonging to their neighborhood. Due to the historical location of the area, we have tried to redefine these urban spaces in neighborhoods by recognizing the design criteria of neighborhoods as a lasting principle through the ability to continue traditional principles
